The university program in question is the pre-university program offered by Kazan Federal University.

COVID-19 Restrictions and Entry Procedures

To enter the Russian Federation, the following procedures must be followed:

• a) COVID testing must be conducted no earlier than three days prior to arrival;
• b) Another COVID test must be conducted within three days after arrival. If both tests are negative, the individual will be allowed to attend classes. If the test results are positive, the individual may be transferred to an isolation facility (located on the university's premises) or a hospital, depending on the severity of the condition. If the individual has been vaccinated, they must carry their vaccination certificate with them upon arrival and during check-in. The original certificate and its notarized Russian translation are required.

Pre-University Program

The pre-university program is a one-year language training course that all applicants who do not speak Russian must attend at the International Pre-University Department of Kazan Federal University. This program is not included in the usual university curriculum. The program is designed for international students who do not speak Russian or have a low level of Russian language proficiency. Applicants can be admitted to the program if they have a qualification that allows them to enter a higher education institution in Russia, including:

• High school diploma or equivalent for bachelor's degree programs;
• Bachelor's degree diploma or equivalent for master's degree programs;
• Master's degree diploma or equivalent for doctoral programs. The pre-university program (1 year or 1.5 years) includes preparatory language training and corresponding Russian language teaching and basic subject courses, such as:
• Sociology
• Economics
• Natural sciences

Tuition Fees for the Pre-University Program (2021/2022 Academic Year)

• 1-year course (Russian language), starting from September: 155,100 rubles
• 1-year course (English language), starting from September: 199,000 rubles
